A family meal, a story Dad always tells, or a birthday wish in your own voice: there is more than one way to keep these pieces of family life.
Keep something for yourself
Record a photo, a thought after a visit, or a few words you want to remember. My Moments can stay Only Me. You do not have to invite anyone or decide what to share to begin. Explore My Moments.
Share the everyday in a family space
Invite parents and adult children to a private space. Each person chooses which entries to share: a meal, a walk, or a small update with their own voice. Comments let you respond beneath the entry instead of letting the moment disappear in a long conversation.
Illustrative message. “The flowers on the balcony opened today. I thought you’d like to see.”
Members can view the space’s published history, including before they joined. Your private entries are not automatically shared. See spaces and invitations.
Leave a Letter for a birthday
Choose yourself or one friend as the recipient, write a message, add a photo or recording, and set a future date and time. Parents can leave encouragement for adult children, and children can leave thanks for parents. Each letter is delivered once.
Illustrative message. “Mum, I love hearing about your day. Happy birthday. I wanted you to hear that in my own voice.”
Follow the Letter steps. You can also choose Open When: the letter goes to the recipient’s inbox for them to open when appropriate.
Join when each person is ready
Everyone needs their own DearWith account on a supported iPhone and must be 18 or older. Help a parent understand the controls, while letting them decide what to record and share. Space membership and friendship are separate; receiving a Letter from another person requires the appropriate friend relationship. See download availability.
