What made today a good day? A small achievement, a meal with friends, or a place you want to visit again can be the start of a Letter to yourself. You can begin on your own, without inviting anyone else.

A little of today, for a date ahead

Write a few words, add photos, or record your voice. Choose yourself as the recipient and set a future date and time, such as your next birthday.

Illustrative message, not a real user recording.

“I finally took that trip. Here are a few photos, and the thing I want to remember most: how happy I was to be there. I hope you make time for another one.”

There is no need for a complete account of your year. One detail you want to remember is enough.

Start with one letter

  1. Open Letters → + and prepare your text, photos, or recording.
  2. Choose yourself as the recipient.
  3. Select a future date and time, then save. You can also save without a recipient and finish setting it up later; an unassigned letter is not delivered.
  4. When it arrives, open it in Received to read your words, view your photos, or play the recording.

See the Letter guide for the full steps. A scheduled letter is a single delivery, not an automatically recurring birthday message.
